BACK TO THE INSTRUMENT ↑This is a browser adaptation of Starr. Browser effects can sound different from the native instrument; native host integration and system-wide file browsing are available in the installed app.

The trial starts on first launch. After 14 days, audio stops; the interface and saving remain available. Windows testing used x64 apps in an ARM virtual machine; native PC and individual host testing remain ongoing.
Your name and email are stored privately to deliver the trial. Only the optional updates checkbox subscribes you to updates and pre-release software.
Standalone and VST3 for ARM64 Linux. The v0.6.0 processor checks and all three VST3 editions passed bank loading, rendered audio and saved-state recall tests. Audible VM playback was previously confirmed on v0.5.0. UTM testing uses the standard display adapter; physical hardware and broader DAW testing remain pending. GET THE LINUX BETA ↗Landscape standalone for Android 8 or newer. Signed APK checked in an Android 15 emulator, including factory presets, mixer, piano roll and saved-state recall. Owner confirmed v0.5.1 sound, layout and general operation on a Motorola Moto G (2025); its installed Android version was not reported. Measured latency, Bluetooth/MIDI and individual multi-finger gesture checks remain pending.

v0.5.0 standalone playback, layout, metronome and Stop confirmed on iPad (iPadOS 17.7.11) and iPhone 17 Pro Max (iOS 27.2). GarageBand AUv3 operation confirmed on both. The v0.5.1 update was tested on both devices, with one-tap preset-folder/category/sound navigation confirmed. The v0.6.0 registered-device update is installed on both, with the new factory recordings and separate Sound Bank / Imported MIDI folders. Preset loading and sound were owner-confirmed; the device for that check was not specified. No new v0.6.0 GarageBand test is claimed. Individual host-tempo sync checks remain pending. App Store release planned for Starr 1.0.
The 0.6.0 library combines all 1,100 presets under v1.0, uses .sbnk factory files and refreshes 209 source sounds while preserving layer and effect settings. Spacebar starts and stops playback. Holding it triggers once, and text fields keep normal typing. In a music host, the host may reserve this shortcut. Browser files select with one tap and load with a double tap; folders open with one tap. MIDI files show a note icon with filename extensions hidden. iOS transport buttons are larger, and Piano Roll opens Imported MIDI directly. Mobile Spacebar control requires a connected keyboard.

The 14-day beta demo is available to everyone. Updates and pre-release emails are optional and can be stopped by replying “unsubscribe.” A separately offered compatibility-testing edition sends one environment and diagnostic report on its first internet-connected startup; its installer discloses this. It does not include your name, email, audio, MIDI, file paths or device identifiers.
